Item Details
A refined late-Victorian mahogany extending dining table of generous proportions, displaying particularly good colour and well-chosen timber throughout.
The solid mahogany top, with softly rounded corners and a moulded edge, sits above four elegant turned and reeded legs, each retaining its original brass and ceramic castors. The table extends smoothly via its original winding mechanism, allowing for practical everyday use as well as more formal entertaining.
The mahogany has matured to a deep, rich tone with attractive natural figuring, enhanced by a well-preserved polish. The table is structurally sound, stands well, and the extension action operates as it should.
A handsome and versatile piece, suitable for both traditional and contemporary interiors, where quality and understatement are paramount.
