A Victorian cased taxidermy silver cock and hen pheasant.
The taxidermy is cased, which was popular method for preserving ans show casing birds and animals.
They are mounted in a naturalistic setting, with sand work, dried grasses/ mosses. The bird on the left, with its white plumage and black markings is a male silver pheasant (Lophura Nycthemera) commonly referred to as a "Silver Cock" The bird on the right is a female Silver Pheasant.
