Early 20th Century Carved Chinese Figures - The White Monkey & Tam Kung

These carved and painted figures originate from Hong Kong and the Chinese Boat People. The Monkey was called 'the Great Sage equal to Heaven' and he protected the boats. Tam Kung was a Hong Kong saint who had control over the weather. Details are shown on the underside of each figure. The tallest figure is 15 cms.
